NZAPT is brimming with some great ideas and initiatives to bring to its members and the Board is a committed and vibrant bunch of type professionals.
However…(I’m sure you could see this one coming!) …we cannot be experts at everything and sometimes need to cast our nets a little wider to catch some different fish with different talents. We are currenting talent spotting for 3 different areas 1. Fund Raising Co-ordinator Are you interested in playing a key role in making the distribution of type knowledge happen in non profit making environments? This is a role that would involve applying to trusts for grants to help provide our services to the type community. There are many non-profit organisations who benefit from financial assistance and NZAPT would like to be able to provide services to communities who would value personal development training in our area of expertise. Grant applications is a craft and we need some guidance. If you feel you can help in any way PLEASE contact us. 2. E-interest Group Co-ordinator Are you interested in collaborating with other NZAPT members despite geographic distances? Are you interested in connecting people using technology? NZAPT see the potential for a new interest group that will provide a service to members who are not able to physically attend interest groups. E forums of any kind could be used and there is already an E Chapter of the APTi which could be connected in with. We need someone who understands technology and is passionate about using it to connect the diversity of members in New Zealand, and internationally. Professional Development Co-ordinator Are you interested in using your management and administrative skills to develop the NZAPT training programme? NZAPT is aware that our Professional Development Programme must be relevant, rigorous and just right for our members. We would like someone to take the reins on this initiative.
